Islamabad: Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid was the chief guest in the Iftar dinner hosted by Nawab Kaifee managing director Eastern Television News (ETN) here Thursday in a local hotel.
It was attended by large number of media-persons belonging to various organisations. The central leader of General Pervez Muharraf’s APML Ahmad Raza Khan Qasuri shared the main table with the information minister. They had exchange of views about the current affairs in cordial manner.
Former DGISI Lieutenant General Hameed Gul, former caretaker Federal Interior Minister Habib Malik, PML-N leader Senator Anwar Beg, spokesman of the Foreign Office Qazi Khalilullah were among the conspicuous guests.
The guests were concerned about the developments with regard to Sindh and especially of Karachi situation. Prime Minister Nawaz’s visit to Russia and his important meetings
with the Chinese, Russian, Iranian, Afghan Presidents and Indian Prime
Minister was another subject of discussion among the guests.
The guests were appreciative of the joining Pakistan Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as its full member. They viewed it as an achievement of the government in the sphere of the foreign policy.
