Operation not against anyone specific: Rangers

The Sindh Rangers, in a statement issued on Sunday, claimed the Karachi operation was not geared towards any particular political, religious or ethnic group, but was only against the militant wings of those groups and criminals.
The statement maintained that detained suspects were being provided all legal rights, adding that they were being presented before a magistrate court at the earliest. It further stated that some suspects had surrendered and presented themselves for arrest willingly.
The people of the city and Rangers stand together for restoration of peace in the metropolis, read the statement.
