Administrator West presents 4.61bn budget

A tax-free annual budget of Rs4.61 billion for the District Municipal Corporation (DMC) West, 2015-16, was presented here on Tuesday.
Administrator West Sajjad Ahmed Memon presented the budget, said a statement.
Memon said the largest allocation of over Rs2.27 billion which accounted for 49.42 per cent of the total budget were allotted for the development work, while Rs2.33 billion were allocated for the non development expenditure.
A total of 10 percent increase in the salaries of the employees was also notified.
Rs309 million were allocated for the construction and repair of roads and lanes, the administrator said.
