On the directives of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, treatment of children of Army Public School (APS), Peshawar has started in different hospitals of Lahore and Adviser to the CM on Health Kh Salman Rafique is personally monitoring all arrangements.
According to a handout issued on Tuesday, during a meeting with the parents and children of APS in the presence of Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Amjad Shahzad on Tuesday, Kh Salman Rafique informed that children had been divided into different groups according to their disease and the professors and senior doctors of the specialties concerned have been given assignment. He said specialist doctors who have started treatment of 23 children of APS were included specialists of ENT, plastic surgery, Peads neurosurgery, orthopaedic, psychiatry and physiotherapy.
Kh Salman Rafique said incident of APS, Peshawar was a national tragedy and the treatment and rehabilitation of these children was a national responsibility. He said the Punjab government would definitely fulfil its national responsibility by providing best treatment facilities to these children. He said boarding and lodging facilities were also being provided by the government to children and their parents.
On this occasion, children and their parents thanked Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and the Punjab government for providing treatment facilities and hospitality to them.
