PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party leader Senator Robina Khalid Sunday said that some elements within the party were busy hatching conspiracies against one another.
Addressing a function in connection with the 62 birth anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto (late), she said that new people would have to be warmly welcomed in the party.
She criticised the provincial leadership of the party, saying that they were unaware of the local government election rules and they failed to evolve an effective strategy for the polls. She said the party would have to be cleansed of the corrupt elements.
Regarding Asif Ali Zardari’s remarks, she said the statement of the party’s co-chairman was presented in a wrong manner. She said all the institutions should have to work within their constitutional framework. The function was also addressed by Syed Ayub Shah, Tahir Abbas and others.
