Illegally stored wheat seized

NANKANA SAHIB: The district administration on Tuesday launched a crackdown on hoarders of wheat and recovered illegally stored wheat worth Rs 380 million from Mor Khunda and Mandi Faizabad areas.
AC Sonia Kaleem raided the godowns of different sugar mills along with District Food Controller Taufiq Ahmad and recovered 288,000 wheat bags. The wheat was purchased from poor farmers on cheap rates with the intention to sell on high rates. The AC also sealed the godowns.
