NANKANA SAHIB: On the call of the All Pakistan Clerks Association, clerks observed complete strike in favour of their demands here on Tuesday.
The clerks also staged a sit-in outside the DCO Office. Speaking on the occasion, Apca district president Muhammad Akram Gujjar rejected meager raise in the salaries. Later, a caravan of clerks left for Lahore to stage a demonstration outside the Punjab Assembly.
DOCTOR ACCUSED OF MISBEHAVIOUR: A man has accused a doctor of the DHQ Hospital of misbehaving with him.
In an application to the provincial ombudsman, Tahir Mehmood said that he went to the hospital for treatment of his daughter on June 13 but duty doctor Fawad Hussain was sleeping in a room. He requested paramedic Maqsood to ask Dr Fawad to examine the patient. He said that the doctor allegedly misbehaved with him when the paramedic woke him up. He said that the accused doctor also rebuked the paramedic. Meanwhile, Health EDO Dr Aslam has ordered an inquiry.
