ATC summons interior secretary over video link arrangements

RAWALPINDI. Rai Muhammad Ayub Marth, judge Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC), Rawalpindi has ordered secretary interior to be present in the court on Wednesday (today) to inform the court about the arrangements being made to record the statement of US author Mark Siegel through video link in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.
In the previous hearing the court wrote a letter to district coordination officer Rawalpindi asking the DCO to contact federal interior minister and Punjab home secretary to arrange video link facility in the court to record Mark Siegel’s statement. The court summoned the interior secretary but he failed to appear in the court on Tuesday. The court expressed anger over his absence and ordered him to appear in person on Wednesday (today). The case proceedings were also attended by former City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Saud Aziz and former SP Rawal Division Khurram Shehzad, besides the five accused Aitzaz Shah, Rafaqat, Hussnain Gull, Abdul Rashid and Sher Zaman.
