Fawad asks Hina Rabbani to pay Rs27m power dues
ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Tuesday claimed there were Rs27 million outstanding electricity charges against Galaxy Textile Mills of former minister and PPP MNA Hina Rabbani Khar.
In a tweet, the minister posted details of the dues, concerning the mills and asked Hina Rabbani Khar to have a look at them and advised her not to waste money as fees to lawyers and instead clear the outstanding electricity dues.
Meanwhile, ex-foreign minister and leader of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Hina Rabbani Khar Tuesday announced to serve defamation notice to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on his allegation regarding power dues.
Reacting on remarks of Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Hina Rabbani said the information minister should make any statement after due consideration as character assassination through leveling allegations has become routine practice of the ministers of PTI government.
She said it was also become practice of PTI ministers to make allegations against the opposition to hide their incompetence.
