SIALKOT: Commercial Attache of the Embassy of Somalia in Islamabad, Khadar Dheen Gulled, on Tuesday said Somalia was a big market of livestock which could hugely benefit the leather industry of Sialkot. Addressing the members of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Khadar Dheen Gulled said the local industrialists of leather could purchase top quality raw leather from Somalia against quite cheap prices. He said a ‘single country exhibition’ for Pakistan would be held in Somalia in June, in which Sialkot-made products including, sports goods, leather goods and other items could be exhibited. He welcomed the local traders to explore the Somalian markets and also opined that it could be proved highly profitable for them. He said that economic giant like China was busy establishing its production units in Somalia and a brotherly country like Pakistan must take serious measures in order to promote further bilateral trade with Somalia. He demanded an easy visa policy for the Somalian businessmen interested to visit Pakistan.
