KMU declares MBBS final professional annual exam result

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar Monday announced the result of MBBS final professional’s annual examination for the session 2018.

Some 1,347 of the total 1,468 students passed the examination with an overall pass percentage of 91.

According to the university’s notification, Bushra Jamal of KMU-Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Kohat clinched top position by obtaining 1,374 marks out of the total 1600.

Wajeeha Arshad and Kausar of the Khyber Medical College, Peshawar got 2nd and 3rd positions by obtaining 1,369 and 1,359 marks, respectively.

Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Arshad Javaid greeted the successful students and their parents, especially the position holders on the milestone achievement in their academic career.

He said that the academic journey of these budding doctors did not stop here. They will now join the practical field and serve the ailing humanity, he added.

The vice-chancellor lauded the acting controller examination and his team especially the examiners for ensuring transparency and announcing of the result well on time.

He hoped the examination department would not only continue their efforts for announcing all results within the stipulated time but also will ensure strict merit culture amid all pressures and hardships.

The passing percentage of different medical colleges in the examination remained as under: Khyber Medical College 97 percent, Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad 95 percent, Gomal Medical College Dera Ismail Khan 95 percent, Khyber Girls Medical College Hayatabad Peshawar scored 97 percent, Saidu Medical College, Swat 95, KMU-Institute of Medical Sciences Kohat 85, Bannu Medical College, Bannu 97, Women Medical College, Abbottabad 97, Jinnah Medical College Peshawar 78, Bacha Khan Medical College Mardan 91, Rahman Medical College 96, Pak International Medical College Hayatabad Peshawar 93 and Abbottabad International Medical College, Abbottabad 55 percent.
