MULTAN: The National Accountability Bureau has decided filing corruption references with NAB courts against four officials on completion of inquiry against them.
Talking to The News here on Thursday, NAB spokesman/Additional Director Ahmad Mumtaz Bajwa said that the references would be filed against former Customs superintendent Hafeezur Rehman Khan, Punjab Small Industries Corporation Employees Cooperative Housing Society Multan former president Safdar Ali Khan, former general secretary Yousaf Noon and clerk Sajjad Hussain.
He said that the former Customs official had amassed properties through unfair means. He said that the accused had sold a plot during his NAB investigation in collaboration with the Punjab Small Industries Corporation Employees Cooperative Housing Society officials. During investigation, NAB Deputy Director Malik Waheed found all the officials guilty.
The spokesman said that the NAB regional office had also decided filing a reference against accused Shahid Hussain Shahid. The accused had collected Rs 8.6 million from public in the name of mobile shop profit.
