Implementation of ban on kite-flying ordered
DIG Operations Muhammad Waqas Nazir has directed all the divisional SPs to ensure implementation of the ban put on kite-flying at any cost. The DIG said that police had also extended cooperation to the district administration in crackdown on kite making factories. During the last three month, Lahore police arrested 2,806 accused in 2,626 cases registered on charges of violating the ban on kite flying.
Arms, drugs seized: Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU) of Lahore Police in a crackdown seized arms and drugs. Dolphin Squad SP Bilal Zafar while giving details of the weekly performance of both wings of police said Dolphins Squad and PRU seized 14 pistols, more than one kg charas and bottles of liquor from accused. He said Dolphins and PRU also helped more than 1,290 people on different roads of the City.
