Shoaib, Uzair win titles in All Pakistan Open National Tennis

KARACHI: M Shoaib and Uzair Khan won titles of their respective categories in All Pakistan Open National Tennis Championships in Jhelum on Friday. In the final of boys under-18 singles, Shoaib beat Ahmed Kamil 6-0, 7-6(5).
In the final of boys under-14 singles, Uzair defeated Ahmed Nael 6-1, 7-5. Meanwhile, Aqeel Khan got walkover against Huzaifa Abdul Rehman, while Muzammil Murtaza beat thrashed Yousaf Khalil 6-0, 6-4 in men’s singles semi-final.
In men’s doubles semi-finals, Aqeel and Shahzad Khan defeated Yousaf Khan and Heera Ashiq 7-6(2), 6-1. M Abid and M Waqas overpowered Muzammil and Mudassir Murtaza 7-6(4), 5-7, 10-8.
