People are our real strength: Gen Bajwa
QUETTA: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Thursday said the people of Pakistan were their real strength and they will always come up to its expectations.
Gen Bajwa visited the Southern Command Headquarters here.
He was briefed about security situation in the province, pursuance of National Action Plan, Operation Raddul Fasaad and socio-economic development projects undertaken as part of Khushal Balochistan Programme, the ISPR said in a statement.
Gen Bajwa said the Pakistan Army had played an important role in reducing internal security threats as well as giving an effective response along the borders. He said the nation acknowledged and fully supported the army’s contribution to the war against terrorism and militancy.
He said Balochistan was the future of Pakistan and it was their duty to fully assist the government and the people of Balochistan for a shining future.
The army chief expressed his satisfaction and hoped that these steps will help elevate the overall security and socio-economic indicators in the province. Later, the COAS also visited the School of Infantry and Tactics and met the faculty.
