Remand extended in parking company case
LAHORE: An accountability court on Thursday extended 14-day judicial remand of three accused including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hafiz Nauman in Lahore Parking Company case.
Accused Hafiz Nauman, Usman Qayyum and Taseer Ahmad were presented before the court of a duty judge on expiry of the remand. The counsel of the accused implored the court to postpone the indictment of his clients on next hearing as the judge hearing the case was on leave.
The duty judge Najam Ul Hassan while accepting plea of the counsel extended judicial remand of the accused and postponed adjournment. Previously, copies of the case record were provided to the said accused.
As per case details, the NAB had accused the trio of awarding the contract to a company that had presented forged documents. NAB had also alleged that a company identified as AGCN had acquired the contract on fake joint venture of Green Parking Company.
