Islamabad : The Islamabad Noon police station has arrested six members of a dacoit gang and recovered snatched cell phone, gold ornaments, weapons, and other valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
Following directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, special teams were constituted by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed to arrest those criminals involved in crime of heinous nature. Superintendent of Industrial Area Police Zone, Sumera Azam constituted special teams under supervision of DSP Raja Tahir Hussain to ensure arrest of those involved in crime of heinous nature. Police team including SHO Noon Police station Sub-Inspector Alamghir Khan, Sub-Inspector Mansoor and and others busted six members of dacoits and recovered snatched mobile phone, gold ornaments, weapons and other valuables from their possession.
The nabbed gangsters have been identified as Tasveer Gul, Nazeer Ahmed, Imran Gul, Wazir Shah, Mir Jannat Shah and Jahinger Said. During preliminary investigation, they have confessed to committee several dacoities at gunpoint in the area of Noon, Tarnol, Jhugi Syedan and various area of Rawalpindi and its adjacent areas.
