PESHAWAR: The faculty of Khyber Girls Medical College (KGMC) Peshawar has praised founding principal and project director of the college, Dr Ziaul Islam for his services. The college faculty hosted a reception in honour of Dr Ziaul Islam and other outgoing faculty members of the institution at the college campus in Hayatabad.
The faculty members said that Dr Ziaul Islam ?was though initially appointed as project director and principal of the girls campus of the Khyber Medical College (KMC), but he used all his good contacts and utilised his professional skills and got it a status of separate medical college.
It was during the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal government when a girls campus of KMC was set up and Dr Ziaul Islam was appointed as its project director after his retirement as KMC principal. He established a full-fledged girls medical college during a short span of time. The KGMC faculty gave shields to Dr Ziaul Islam and other former teaching staff of the college for their services and contributions to the institution.
