Minister unhappy with hospital sanitation

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Ijaz Alam Augustine visited Mian Munshi Hospital on Monday to inspect arrangements of cleanliness and visited Emergency and other wards in the hospital.

The minister inspected the laboratory and expressed displeasure on bad condition of the canteen, immediately directed to make arrangements of cleanliness. He inquired after the health of the patients and their attendants about the facilities being provided in the hospital. He ensured the patients that the PTI government had utilised all the given resources to ensure human rights especially in the hospitals.

quality houses: Provincial Minister for Housing & Urban Development Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed has said the previous governments exploited the general public by using the slogans of providing housing facilities but did nothing practically in this regard. He said the previous rulers used hollow claims of “Roti, Kapra Aur Makan” and “Ashiana” to gain their political motives. He was addressing the participants in a seminar on ‘National Poster and Model Making Competition’ on Ultra Low-Cost Housing at University of Management and Technology (UMT) here Monday. Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed said the PTI government had taken practical steps for the first time in the history of the country to provide low-cost and quality housing facilities to the deserving families, and heading towards achieving its targets with concerted efforts. He said that the previous government made tall claims about Ashiana Housing Scheme and wasted billions of rupees on its publicity but practically only 2,500 housing units were built in the entire province.

He said the PTI government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, would fulfil the promise of provision of quality houses to deserving people. With the consultation of entire stakeholders, Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme is moving forward and in this regard, construction of low-cost housing units in Lodhran, Chishtian and Renala Khurd would be soon started. He said the provision of quality housing facilities to the general public was the need of the hour and the Punjab government was pursuing a vigorous policy in this regard. Later, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed visited the stalls of posters and models of low-cost houses prepared by the university students.

LLB exam schedule: Punjab University (PU) has issued the schedule for submission of admission forms and fee for the LLB (5 years) Part-II and III annual examination 2019.

The last date for submission of admission forms for regular candidates of LLB (5 years) Part-II and III annual examinations 2019 with single fee is April 15 and 16 while the forms can be submitted with double fee till April 29 and 30 respectively. The last date for submission of admission forms for late college candidates of LLB (5 years) Part-II annual examinations 2019 with single fee is April 22 while the forms can be submitted with double fee till May 7.

Meanwhile the PU has announced the results of M.Sc Zoology Part-II supplementary examination 2018.
