BRA commander arrested in Kashmore

SUKKUR: The Guddo Police on a tip-off arrested an alleged commander of the Baloch Republican Army, Rab Nawaz alias Mithan Khan, s/o Muhammad Hayat Bajrani, from Zair Peer area and recovered a TT pistol, 2kg explosive material, detonators, timers and hand grenades from his possession.

The SSP Kashmore, Syed Asad Raza, told media persons that the police on a tip off had cordoned off the Zair Peer area and arrested an alleged commander of the Baloch Liberation Army. He said the BRA commander had planned to explode a railways’ track at Kashmore.

The SSP said the police also eliminated the BRA network from the area and during the preliminary investigation, the terrorist has disclosed that he was involved in various terrorists attacks in Sindh and Punjab. The police official said the criminal disclosed that the BRA communicated to other members through a WhatsApp group.

The SSP stated that the commander also informed about a BRA camp in Rojhan Jamali area comprising at least 40 members trained for using sophisticated weapons, including 12.7 LMG, hand grenades, rockets launchers, Kalashnikovs, detonators and explosive. The criminal also informed that the explosive materials are transported through ambulances as well as through tubes of bicycles to the camps. The SSP stated the BRA is operational in Kashmore because it is border of Sindh-Baluchistan. The SSP further told the media persons that some members of the Chotto Bakhrani gang have also joined the BRA.
