Oath-taking, prize distribution ceremony held

Islamabad: Oath-taking and prize distribution ceremony of the newly elected members of Mass Communication Society was held at the Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate), F-7/4, on Thursday.

Chief guest of the occasion was Amir Ghauri, editor ‘The News’, Islamabad.

Certificates were distributed among the outgoing Mass Media Society members and oath was taken from the newly elected members of the society. Cash prizes with certificates were distributed among the position holders of the Mass Communication Department in Quaid-i-Azam University’s Annual Examination. Where Naila Naseem, Nida Fayaz and Tehmeen Ejaz stood first second and third positions in MA Part-II while in MA Part-I, Palwasha Iqbal, Farrah Saleem and Maryam Hanif secured first, second and third position respectively.

The students who gave best performance in the interclass and intercollegiate competitions were awarded prizes and certificates. Students of the college participated in the campaign ‘Clean and Green Islamabad — Ideas Competition’ launched by Ministry of Education in the year 2018. The students who participated by making posters, mini models, pictures, panaflex regarding the competition were awarded certificates of appreciation. Students of fine arts were also given certificates for decorating college on various occasions.

Later, the chief guest visited the media labs of the Mass Communication department and observed the performance of students in the radio as well as at TV lab.
