FBR to resolve industry’s issues
KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has appointed Ambreen Iftikhar, director programme office, as a focal person to coordinate with the chambers and industries in resolving their issues.
Sources said the revenue body has initiated direct interaction with the business community to promptly resolve their problems and has directed tax offices to extend full cooperation in this regard.
The FBR chairman nominated a focal person after his recent visit to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).
During the visit, the business community had complained about communication gap between taxpayers and the chairman office. The business community also apprised the chairman about harassment by the tax field offices.
