PML-N always supported rule of law, says Amir Muqam
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-N provincial president Amir Muqam has said that his party leader Nawaz Sharif played an active role in the movement for restoration of judiciary and supported the lawyers’ struggle in the past.
He was speaking at the Muslim Lawyers Forum convention on Saturday. The forum president Naseer Butt, Senator Pir Sabir Shah, MNA Murtaza Javed Abbasi, former governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and forum’s provincial president Alamzeb Khan were also present on the occasion.
The PML-N leader said that Nawaz Sharif was facing punishment for his efforts to eliminate terrorism, strengthen Pakistan’s economy and bringing the CPEC to Pakistan.
Pir Sabir Shah, Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Iqbal Zafar Jhagra also spoke on the occasion.
They said that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif was being denied proper medical facility under a conspiracy.
“Nawaz Sharif made the country a nuclear power by conducting nuclear explosion despite pressure,” said Zafar Jhagra, adding, the PML-N government had pulled the country out of economic crisis. The PTI government, he said, had failed to come up to the expectations.
