Exceeding power
March 10, 2019
This refers to the article ‘Righting wrongs’ (March 9) by Babar Sattar. The former CJP should be held accountable for misusing his powers. While the issue of having an expensive transplant centre in the public health sector is debatable, the mistreatment of the professional staff at the whim of the former CJP should not be tolerated.
The state of courts and justice in Pakistan is deplorable. A CJP should direct all his/her efforts towards improving their departments and not interfere in matters over which they do not have any authority. Everyone should work within their own well-defined jurisdictions.
