LAHORE: Lahore DIG Operations Muhammad Waqas Nazir issued show cause notices to the SHOs of Liaqatabd, Faisal Town and Model Town police stations for their poor performance and not meeting the target of arresting the proclaimed offenders of 'B' category.
The notices were issued in the meeting of Model Town division which was presided by the DIG Operations. The letter was also issued to DSP Model Town circle for his failure in meeting the target of arresting the proclaimed offenders. He also issued order to keep the performance of SHOs of Kot Lakhpat and Nishtar colony police stations under observation, while he expressed his displeasure on the overall performance of Kahna circle as well. The DIG said all the SHOs will have to control crime, arrest offenders and perform their duties diligently, behaving with the public and subordinates politely also if they want to remain in Lahore Police. He said it was never possible to decrease crime rate without chasing the proclaimed offenders and keeping them behind the bars. He said police has devised a comprehensive performa to evaluate the performance of SHOs who will be awarded marks accordingly in different departments.
He said as many as 20 marks will be awarded for arresting proclaimed offenders with head money and 10 marks will be given for arresting 'A' category offenders. He said it will be
mandatory for every SHO to achieve maximum 50 marks for their success.
