Parents seek help for son’s treatment
TAKHT BHAI: The parents and friends of poor youth, Shahab Khan, have appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, philanthropists and well-off people to him in his medical treatment as he cannot afford the expensive medication further.
Shahab Khan, son of Fazal Mabood, a resident of Gharibabad in Hathian area in Takht Bhai tehsil, was a student of Government Postgraduate College Lundkhwar some time back. But he left his education halfway due to abject poverty and went to Saudi Arabia to earn a living for the family.
However, he fell ill with cirrhosis in Saudi Arabia and returned to Pakistan for medication. The doctors at the Al-Shifa Hospital in Islamabad have advised the patient that his liver had stopped functioning and Rs9 million were needed for the transplant. But the poor parents cannot afford such a huge amount for the treatment.
