Five injured for resisting robbery bid

Five people were wounded over putting up resistance to a robbery bid in Korangi on Monday. Police officials said the incident took place within the precincts of the Awami Colony police station. The injured were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
The police said that six armed men riding two motorcycles entered a milk shop and looted Rs70,000; however, the suspected robbers opened indiscriminate fire when the shop owner offered resistance. The robbers managed to escape along with the cash. The victims were later identified as 45-year-old Anwar Ali, owner of the shop, Farhan Bashir, Naeem Hameed, Sameer Yaqoob and Aqeel Nazeer Ahmed.
