2 killers sent to jail on remand

Rawalpindi : The Civil Court, Rawalpindi Judge Sumera Alamgir Thursday sent two killers to Adiala Jail on judicial remand on Thursday.

The court ordered police to present challan against both accused for further process and directed to present the accused again on March 13, 2019. Police has recovered a stick and a heavy stone, which were used in killing.

The main accused named Muhammad Jamil s/o Muhammad Saddique, a deaf and dump by birth along with Akmal Khan s/o Lal Zarin Khan killed a 70 years old man Muhammad Jan, who was gathering dry woods from the land of accused party, in Gariba village near Chakri Road. Both the accused killed the old man on the spot and threw him into a pond after tying a heavy stone with the dead body.

On February 1, 2019, complainant Abid Mehmood, son of unfortunate man told Saddar Barooni Police Station that his father went to gather dry woods from nearby jungle but not came back yet.

Police had started investigation of the case and went to nearby jungle in Gariba village where unfortunate old man went. Police saw a ‘cap’ hanging over a pond into bushes. They arrested owners of the land near the pond, Muhammad Jamil. During the investigation, he pointed out that he threw the body into the pond.

Saddar Barooni Police registered a case under Section of 302 against Muhammad Jamil and Akmal Khan on February 11.

Police took the help of Special Education School, Soan Camp, Principal Mushtaq Alvi to resolve this case.
