Essay writing contest on human trafficking
Islamabad: Twenty finalists were shortlisted and awarded out of more than 100 students who participated in an essay-writing contest on ‘The menace of human trafficking and migrants smuggling’ here Thursday.
Organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) under the framework of GLO.Act (The Global Action against Trafficking in Persons and the Smuggling of Migrants), the contest was held at the Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The event was attended by 200 young students from different departments within the university along with senior management of the university.
The 20 finalists were Qamar Munir Butt, Ayma, Muhammad Awais, Aliza Fatima, Laiba Fawad, Himra, Duaa Ahmed Khan, Cecilia, Shaista, Bilal Ahmed, Gulbakht Fatima, Kiran Arif, Wardah Tariq, Abdul Rehman Khokhar, Fahad Sheikh, Saba Noreen, Mujeeb-Ullah, Maleeha Saqib, Noor-ul-Ain, Rimmal and Tahira.
