‘Making police community service oriented top priority’

Islamabad : Inspector general of Police (IGP) Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan inaugurated the entrance of Islamabad Police Lines Headquarters. This inauguration was graced by DIG (Headquarters) Sarfraz Ahmad Falki, DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud Din Syed, AIG (Establishment) Kamran Adil, AIG (Operations) Sardar Ghias Gul, SP (Headquarters) Muhammad Amir Khan Niazi, DSP HQs Shamas Azhar, staff officer to the IGP Khalid Mehmood Awan and other police officers.

According to details, IGP Islamabad inaugurated the main entrance of Police Lines Headquarters, Islamabad. The IGP after assuming his charge has taken so many initiatives including enhancement of police shuhada package, health cards, recruitment of more strength, signing of MOUs with various private hospitals/educational institutions, action against drugs and land mafia so on and so forth. In order to carry forward vision of Govt plantation campaign, sapling was also planted in police lines headquarters by the IGP Islamabad.

As a part of fostering healthy relationship with the community the main entrance of Police Lines Headquarters, Islamabad has been erected with the mission statement “To serve the public by protecting their lives, property and dignity of the common man in a professional manner and strictly in accordance with law”.

During the inauguration ceremony the IGP Islamabad reiterated his resolved to make ICT Police more service oriented, people friendly by using equal application of law through sheer professionalism and by upholding integrity.

The IGP also resolved to make ICT Police more transparent, accountable and corruption free service.
