PU rally expresses solidarity with Pak Army
LAHORE: Punjab University (PU) on Thursday took out a rally to express solidarity with Pakistan Army.
PU teachers, officers, employees and a large number of students participated in the rally which was led by Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad Akhtar. The rally was taken out from College of Earth and Environmental Sciences chowk in which participants were carrying banners and posters lauding the valour of Pakistan Army. The participants chanted slogans in support of Pakistan Army and against Indian aggression.
Addressing the participants, PU Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad said Pakistan Army was No 1 Army of the world and had the capacity to defend the borders. Peace rally: A rally was taken out by civil society members outside the Lahore Press Club on Thursday.
The participants of the rally were carrying placards with slogans of peace inscribed on them. They demanded that tension between Pakistan and India must be de-escalated. They raised slogans “Say no to War”, “Say yes to Peace”.
