Armed forces at high alert: ISPR
RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday said the Pakistan armed forces are in a state of readiness for any eventualities and thwart any Indian aggression on eastern borders and the Line of Control (LoC).
The ISPR also advised the public to stay mindful about rumour mills and show responsibility in use of social media. "Due to prevailing environment Pakistan Army troops are at high alert along the LoC with all required safeguards along eastern border in place to thwart any Indian aggression," the ISPR said.
The statement said that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Navy were fully prepared to meet any misadventure. Giving an update, the ISPR said that during the last 48 hours, Indian troops resorted to increased ceasefire violations in Kotli, Khuiratta and Tatta Pani sectors along the LoC to which the Pakistan Army troops responded effectively. “There are also reports of casualties to Indian forces and damage to Indian posts.” India’s deliberate firing on civilians resulted in Shahadat of four citizens and injuries to two. The Pakistan armed forces are in a state of readiness for all eventualities.
