Shopkeepers ordered to display rate lists

PAKPATTAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ahmad Kamal Saturday ordered action against shopkeepers who were violating rate lists’ display regulations.

Talking to price control magistrates, the DC said a strict action should be taken against those shopkeepers who were not selling their commodities on fixed rates. ADCR Dr Ahmad Afnan, ADCF Arshad Wattoo, ADCG Qayyum, AC HQ Arshad Wattoo, AC Pakpattan Ali Atif, AC Arifwala Iftikhar Hussain Bloch and others were also present. The DC said shopkeepers must be told not to hoard commodities. He said the shortage of basic items would not be tolerated.

Accused Shah Rasool and his daughter Tayyaba had murdered Shazia Bibi. Shazia had contracted her second marriage with Shah Rasool.

Shah was fined Rs 500,000 and his daughter was awarded life sentence and was also fined Rs 500,000.
