Man killed, four injured as jeep plunges into ravine
MANSEHRA: A man was killed and three others sustained injuries when a jeep plunged into a deep ravine in Garhi Habibullah on Friday. The jeep was on its way to Karnool from Garhi Habibullah when the driver, while negotiating a sharp turn, lost control over the steering wheel and the vehicle plunged into deep a ravine. The locals rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the Civil Hospital where doctors pronounced Mohammad Miskeen as dead.
The three injured were referred to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra. Also in the day, the police recovered five-kilogram hashish from a vehicle and arrested a drug smuggler. According to sources, the hashish was being smuggled from Peshawar to Battagram when a police team led by Station House Officer Malik Asif intercepted a car and seized hashish from it. The accused was identified as Mohammad Rahim belonging to Peshawar.
