Pakistan-Belarus ties

This refers to the news report, ‘Pakistan, Belarus to work together for peace’ (May 30). Pakistan and Belarus have vowed to build broad-based, substantive and long-term relations in trade, economy, education, defence and culture. This development came during the visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Pakistan.
The president of Belarus met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain along with other dignitaries. This is a welcome addition to our ever-growing bilateral meetings with the rest of the world. President Mamnoon Hussain said that interaction between the two countries would increase further, especially after the opening of a resident mission of Belarus in Islamabad.
