BHAKKAR: A crackdown on fake, illegal and unauthorised medical stores in the district is continuing.
According to District Drug Controller Malik Muhammad Mushtaq Nadeem Ghangla, the crackdown was underway in all tehsils of Bhakkar.
He said an action was taken against 277 medical stores and six stores were sealed, cases were registered against 20 medical store owners and 230 medicines samples were dispatched to relevant authorities.
He said a fine to the tune of Rs 300,000 was recovered.
95PC STUDENTS’ ENROLMENT PROMISED: Mian Muhammad Ismail, (EDO) Education, Saturday vowed ensuring 95 per cent enrolment of students in schools.
Addressing heads of all secondary schools, the EDO and DEO Rana Muhammad Shabbir Khan urged teachers to play their role in building the nation. They stressed the need of checking students’ cleanliness habits and urged the teachers to tell students about ethics and impart awareness about dengue. They promised updating IT and science laboratories.
They warned the teachers not to show laxity in enrolment.
PR DRIVE AGAINST ENCROACHERS: The Pakistan Railways authorities launched an operation against encroachments of the railway land with the help of local police.
Shopkeepers protested and asked the authorities that they were not issued any notice to vacate the railway land.
