PDWP approves 18 projects worth Rs13.87b

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Tuesday approved 18 projects worth Rs13.87 billion.

One project was deferred due to inadequate design and returned to the respective department for rectification, said a handout. Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash, additional chief secretary and chairman of the forum, presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary Planning & Development Department, members of the PDWP and representatives of the tribal districts.

The forum considered 19 projects pertaining to different sectors including agriculture, buildings, roads and bridges, urban development, health, multi-sectoral development, local government, relief and rehabilitation, higher education and sports and tourism sectors for the uplift of the province.

The forum approved project of agriculture sector was “Control of Livestock Diseases of Economic Importance in KP.”

The approved project of building sector was “Construction of cafeteria/car parking/masjid in Provincial Assembly Building at Khyber road Peshawar.”

Approved projects of roads and bridges sector were “Construction & Blacktopping of Manglawar to Malam Jabba Road 35 KM in Swat, Rehabilitation and Improvement of Bara-Mastak, Phase-2 Sheen Kamar to Mastak Road, Construction of Link Roads to CPEC in Tribal District (Phase-I 21 K.M)”.
