Transparency is a lifeline for an effective system. In our country, the CSS exam used to be a benchmark for other competitive exams. But in a bid to leak the paper, some people have cast a dark shadow over the credibility of this prestigious exam. The FIA has booked the accused and initiated a probe into the matter. So far it has been found out that the accused demanded a hefty amount of money in return of this governmental malfeasance.
This news has not only left every hard-working aspirant flabbergasted, but also tarnished the exam’s reputation. I think now it will be increasingly difficult for the authorities concerned to revive people’s belief in the transparency of the CSS exam. The government needs to take stern action against the culprits so that such incidents do not happen again.

The recent news regarding the CSS paper leak is shocking for aspirants who believe that the FPSC is a trust-worthy hiring agency which recruits people on merit. This is why libraries and academies are full of aspirants who study day and night to join government services.
But this incident has shaken people’s trust in the institution. To clear the confusion, the chairman of the FPSC should take serious action those who are involved in this crime.
