CTP chalks out traffic plan for MBS visit

Rawalpindi : The City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has chalked out special traffic plan which would remain enforced on February 17 and 18 in connection with the arrival of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS) to Pakistan.

According to the plan chalked out in a meeting chaired by Chief Traffic Officer, Mohammad Bin Ashraf, one SP, three DSPs, 15 inspectors, 120 warden officers and 23 traffic assistants would perform duties on two days when Saudi Crown Prince would arrive Islamabad.

According to the decision taken in the meeting the citizens could get information and assistance from Traffic Helpline number 051-9272839.

Action has been ordered against motorbike riders who are seen driving without helmet and those on whose vehicles and bikes numbers plates are not displayed. Similarly, the CTO has directed action against vehicles whose window glasses are found black.

In accordance with the decisions adopted, the traffic wardens have been directed to check even government vehicles, ambulances and fire brigade.

As many as 162 traffic personnel would remain on duty who have been directed to perform their tasks in a vigilant and sincere way. The traffic wardens would perform duties to avert traffic suspensions on major chowks.

Special contingent of traffic staff have also been assigned duties for this purpose who would perform duties to avert traffic chokes.

No negligence in duty performances would be tolerated at any cost by any traffic warden officers and other staff on the occasion of visit of Saudi Crown prince, the CTO clearly cleared.
