16th global Electrophysiology conference held at AFIC
RAWALPINDI: The 16th International Electrophysiology annual conference was held at Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC & NIHD) Rawalpindi on Friday.
According to ISPR press release Dr Arif Alvi, President Islamic Republic of Pakistan was Chief Guest on inaugural session of the conference. Various delegates from UK, USA, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and all over the country are participating in the conference.
While addressing the conference President Dr Arif Alvi said that heart diseases have spread manifold in country and the region for which concrete efforts are required for its treatment and special emphasis for prevention. The President also appreciated the efforts of AFIC & NIHD towards care and treatment of heart diseases. Lieutenant General Anwar Ali Hyder, Adjutant General Pakistan Army and Commandant AFIC & NIHD Rawalpindi Major General Sohail Aziz received the president on arrival at AFIC & NIHD.
