Religious leaders welcome Saudi crown prince’s visit
LAHORE: Religious scholars termed arrival of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in Pakistan a good omen not only for the country but also for peace and stability of Muslim Ummah.
Addressing the Friday congregations specifically in mosques associated with Wafaq-ul-Masajid Pakistan, they stated that people of Pakistan are united and committed for peace and stability in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are making joint struggle to annihilate the menace of terrorism and extremism from Muslim world.
Pakistan welcomes Crown Prince Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman on his first state visit to Pakistan. Religious scholars associated with Pakistan Ulema Council and Wafaq-ul-Masajid Pakistan highlighted brotherly relations of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi while addressing a Friday congregation at Jamia Manzoor-ul-Islamia, Lahore stated that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were endeavouring jointly for peace, stability and unity of the Muslim world.
He said that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were committed to eradicate the menace of terrorism and extremism from Muslim world. With the visit of Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan, bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will strengthen in every aspects of life and field, he said.
Among notable clerics and religious scholars, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi addressed Friday sermon in Lahore, Maulana Abdul Kareem Nadeem in Rahimyar Khan, Maulana Abdul Haq Mujahid in Multan, Maulana Abdul Hameed Wattoo in Qila Deedar Singh, Qazi Matiullah Saeedi in Gujrat, Maulana Asadullah Farooq in Lahore, Maulana Asad Zikriya in Karachi, Maulana Nauman Hashir, Maulana Tahir Aqeel in Rawalpindi, Maulana Abu Bakar Sabri in Islamabad, Maulana Abdul Malik Asif in Multan, Maulana Islamuddin, Maulana Abdul Hakeen Athar, Maulana Aslam Qadri in Lahore, Maulana Hussain Ahmed Husseini in Daska, Maulana Amjad in Chakwal, Maulana Faheem-ul-Hassan in Sheikhupura, Maulana Shakeel Qasmi in Okara, Maulana Aziz Akbar Qasmi in Rajanpur, while other representatives and office-bearers of Pakistan Ulema Council highlighted relations of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in their respective areas.
charity institution: Punjab Minister for Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Muhammad Ajmal Cheema visited the Kashana, an institution working for the poor and orphaned girls. The provincial minister met the girls living in Kashana and asked them about the facilities being provided to them.
Punjab Social Welfare and Baitul Maal director general also accompanied him. The minister checked the cleanliness arrangements there. He also checked the kitchen and quality of food served to the residents.
Later, the provincial minister distributed warm clothes among the girls. He said, “We will take all possible steps to provide the necessities of life to the girls at Kashana. He said the department would fully support the girls who wanted to seek education.
