‘KU Times varsity’s official Facebook page’
Karachi University has declared University of Karachi Times – KU Times -- as its official Facebook page. The link of the page www.facebook. com/kutimes is also uploaded at the varsity’s official website www.uok.edu.pk. A notification in this regard has also been issued by the KU registrar, a press release issued on Wednesday said.
Meanwhile, the university warned that it would ask the Cyber Crime Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency to take legal action against fake and misleading pages on social media which have been claiming their associations with it.
The university has witnessed that some elements have forged its official document, which is a serious crime. It hints at strict legal action against the people involved in the matter. The university has found that handler(s) of a page (uok-all confessions) forged an original notification and uploaded it at their page to mislead and spread false, fabricated, misleading and inappropriate statements and also engaged in propaganda against the varsity.
