Pakistan was elected vice chair of the executive board of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in its meeting held in Geneva on Wednesday.
The director general of health Dr. Assad Hafeez was Pakistan’s nominee for the important slot. His name was recommended by minister of state for health.
The WHO executive board has 34 members comprising top health experts and senior government representatives.
