No society can survive without fair system of justice: KP CM

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was committed to providing justice to all.

“Our government will provide a fair system of justice to the society as no society can survive without a fair system of justice,” he said, adding, the lawyers had a pivotal role for the provision of justice in any society.

He was talking to an 18-member delegation of Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF), led by Arshad Khan advocate, at Chief Minister’s Secretariat Peshawar. Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Abdul Latif Yousafazai, secretary law and others attended the meeting.

The chief minister assured to resolve all issues and problems of Insaf Lawyers Forum on a priority basis, said a handout. The meeting was informed about the responsibilities and functions of Insaf Lawyers Forum.

The forum presented their issues and problems in the meeting. The ILF further requested the chief minister to give representation to ILF members in different forums. The members of the forum also requested for the solution of their long-lasting issues.

The chief minister assured the ILF that all their genuine and legal problems will be solved on priority basis. He directed the advocate general that all genuine issues of ILF may be addressed well in time. The chief minister said that the ILF should coordinate with advocate general about their problems and other issues in future.
