‘Punjab to be made hub of economic activities’

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal said that Punjab would be made a hub of business and economic activities and all the possible facilities would be provided to investors under one umbrella.

Delegations of industrialists and businessmen called on Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal here Monday at Civil Secretariat to discuss matters related to opportunities of business in Punjab, new industrial policy and ease of doing business were discussed in these meetings.

Managing Director of a store leading the delegation said that a new store would be established in Multan for increasing the investment in Punjab. He said the Punjab government gave best industrial policy which would help to increase economic activities in the province.

Talking to the delegation, the minister said that Punjab would be made a hub of business and economic activities and all the possible facilities would be provided to investors under one umbrella. He said steps were being taken for increasing investment in Punjab.

“We welcome the decision to increase its investment in Punjab and every possible support will be provided for the establishment of new store in Multan”, he said. He said it is the need of the hour to accelerate economic activities for creating new job opportunities.

Aslam Iqbal said that federal government announced an excellent economic package for increasing economic activities. The Punjab government has given new industrial policy which will help to revolutionise the industrial sector.

Later, Chairman Pakistan Sports Corporation Mian Mahmood also met Provincial Minister for Industries and matters related to increase exports of the country were discussed. The minister said the Punjab government was promoting such industries which would help to increase exports of the country.
