LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday granted permission to the Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz to extend his stay in London for further 14 days after his counsel said the petitioner had to take care of his newborn daughter. Previously, the court had allowed Hamza to visit his wife in London for 10 days and he was supposed to return on February 13. However, he moved the court for extension in his stay abroad. Advocate Azam Nazir Tarar appeared on behalf of Hamza and argued that the newborn daughter of the petitioner underwent a cardiac procedure due to complication at birth. He said the petitioner has to take care of not only his newborn daughter but also his wife in London.
Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan allowed Hamza Shahbaz to stay with his family in London for another 14 days.
