Pakistan has become the fifth most populous country in the world. In a matter of decades, the country’s population seems to have grown immensely. This trend can be attributed to the fact that there is lack of awareness about family planning among people in Pakistan’s rural belt.
According to the census conducted in 2017, a vast section of the population lives in rural areas across Pakistan. The government has not initiated many awareness programmes to reduce the population growth rate. Under a well-coordinated awareness drive, the government should run a door-to-door campaign in all villages and cities across the country to highlight the importance of family planning.
