PESHAWAR: The UN ‘International Day for Biological Diversity’ was observed at the Azakhel Botanical Garden, University of Peshawar, by arranging events to highlight the importance of Biodiversity. The participants of the programme pointed out that natural resources are fast depleting and preserving them is everyone’s responsibility to achieve a better and pollution free environment for the generations to come. Future of Humanity’s fate is linked with biological diversity, including the quality of life on earth, said Vice Chancellor UoP Prof Rasul Jan, who was the chief guest at the seminar arranged on the day. He appreciated the efforts of UoP Azakhel Botanical Garden in preserving endangered species.
