LAHORE: Provincial Interior Minister Col. (retd) Shuja Khanzada has said the government has made foolproof arrangements for providing security to the Zimbabwe cricket team. In a statement issued on Tuesday, he said that 10,000 officers and officials of the Rangers, Elite Force and police would provide security to the foreign team whereas three helicopters would carry out aerial surveillance. He said the revival of international cricket in the country after six years was a good omen. He said that after the visit of Zimbabwe cricket team, the foreign teams would visit Pakistan like before. Khanzada said the government had issued instructions to the traffic authorities for keeping the flow of traffic smooth. He said the police would stop the traffic only at the time of movement of Zimbabwe cricket team. He appealed to the people to extend cooperation to the traffic police.
