FAISALABAD: As many as five persons were killed in separate incidents here on Saturday.
A married woman Parveen Mumtaz ended her life by taking poison over a domestic dispute at Hajveri Town. In another incident, Amjad committed suicide by taking poisonous pills over some domestic issue. In yet another incident, Shafiq Ahmad was found dead near the General Bus Stand. Muhammad Aslam, a resident of Chak 97/RB Johal who was posted at Sargodha Road police station, was sleeping in his house when three unidentified accused shot him dead. In another incident, Muhammad Akram of Chak 225/RB was allegedly killed by accused Sajid and Muhammad Afzal of the same village over a property dispute.
PROPERTIES OF FORMER SHO SEALED: On the order of Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Raja Pervaiz Akhtar, two houses of former Batala Colony police SHO Farrukh Waheed, who has been declared proclaimed offender, have been sealed.
The court ordered to seal houses No 200 and 201 at G Block the Gulistan Colony, Faisalabad. Farrukh’s bank accounts have also been ceased on the court orders. It is pertinent to mention here that the former SHO is a key accused in the double murder case of Asghar Ali Bhola Gujjar (former Faisalabad Market Committee chairman) and local businessman Rana Zeeshan alias Shani. He has left the country along with his family member. According to CPO Sohail Tajik, former SHO Farrukh Waheed would be brought back to Pakistan with the help of Interpol.
